Bora Bora Romantic Tour
Given that roughly 75% of all tourists arriving in Bora Bora have a “just married” sticker on their luggage, it stands to reason that this is the prime location (perhaps in the world) for honeymoons and romantic tours. This island in and of itself is a romantic travel destination; the scenery alone inspires romance. Couples arrive by cruise ship or on a flight from Tahiti (Bora Bora does not have a full-service international airport).
A long walk along Matira Point Beach, hand in hand, is a great start to a romantic Bora Bora honeymoon; stop at a café and buy souvenirs to remember your time here at one of the beach kiosks. At least one dinner at Bloody Mary’s restaurant is a romantic must-do, too! In fact, the island offers exploratory tours on jet-skis (two can fit on one jet-ski) with a post-tour lunch at Bloody Mary’s (like you need an excuse!).
And be sure to take one or both of the excursions: the sunset cruise and/or the half-day four-wheel-drive island tour. Memories in the making.
Consider staying at the Hotel Bora Bora. Established in 1961, it was the first resort on the island to erect the famous over-the-water bungalows built on stilts; now most of the resorts offer these unique accommodations. They are private and ideal for honeymoons. Contrary to popular belief, they are not all terribly expensive (the high-end luxury ones are), but it’s your honeymoon, so go all out. Enjoy your Bora Bora romantic tour, whether it’s your honeymoon vacation or just a celebration of long-lasting love.
