Ripley's Aquarium is a terrific choice for a day out with the kids when you are vacationing in Myrtle Beach. Visitors will experience the amazement of undersea life through the giant 750,000-gallon tanks, with the entire setup built in an 85,000-square-foot aquarium. Cameras are welcome here so be sure to record your visit through photographic memories as you walk through the reef exhibit filled with sharks, sea turtles, stingrays and exotic fish.

The aquarium has an interactive display of babies from all the different marine animals, among them sharks and seahorses. This cool place is ideal on a hot afternoon at Myrtle Beach; it takes at least two hours to fully experience Ripley’s Aquarium and all the varied sea creatures it has on display. It is a popular family attraction thanks to the combination of fun, incredible colors, marine animals and other aquatic life forms, and education.

To make the walking tour less tiring, the facility has installed a system whereby visitors are taken through the exhibits on an automated walkway transportation system; it even has relaxing music playing in the background! The enormous tanks with their glass sides make it safe to view the great and powerful sharks, and gliding stingrays at nose-to-nose distance, a thrill for young and old alike. A special supervised tank allows patrons to pet a stingray or hold a horseshoe crab. Ripley’s Aquarium at Myrtle Beach is an experience that the entire family will never forget!
